Sheila Marie Griarte believes that teachers have the power to transform lives and inspire lifelong success. With over 20 years of dedicated experience in international education, she is committed to creating safe, supportive and learning environments. She values the importance of fostering confidence and motivation in students from diverse backgrounds. 

Sheila has a Bachelor’s in Education from the Philippines and is in the process of obtaining her masters degree in Educational Administration. She brings with her rich experience in the IB Diploma Programme having been a Diploma Programme Coordinator for 14 years. She also serves in multiple capacities within the IB Asia Pacific region through the IB Educator Network, including as a School Visit Team Member, Programme Leader, and IB Examination Site Visitor. In addition, she is an IB Examiner for Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations Internal Assessments and Paper 2.

She is joined by her daughter and her husband in Macao and are excited to continue TIS’ legacy of excellence in education. In her free time, she loves to bake and play badminton.
